Finish the loop by using wire cutters to trim off excess head pin or wire.

If you are using gold-filled or silver wire, make sure not to throw scraps away because many vendors will take these in at spot value.

I use this first method a lot when I'm working with longer head pins and longer piece of wire, but the next method I'll show you also works well for making simple loops aka unwrapped loops.
