Pull the ring off the mandrel and use the round-nosed pliers to curl the other end of the wire. I just curled it once. (I tried curling it more to match the other side, but it looked too big to me. Even though Im not a wearer of toe rings, it didnt look like it would comfortable at that size.) After curling the other end, put the ring back on the mandrel and use the hammer again to flatten the ring and shape it around the mandrel.
Its that simple. I think there are other possibilities for this design. You could make exactly the same ring and just used twisted wire instead. You could also solder a small charm on the top instead of adding a second swirl. I think that would really look nice.
