Wild Wire and Lampwork Bead Necklace

Tammy Powley
When I was dabbling with making lampwork beads, I found that using brightly colored glass rods made it easier for me to see what I was doing or attempting to do. My beads came out so-so, but still, I wanted to use them in a jewelry piece of some kind to show them off. The bright colors of the bead inspired me to use equally bright colored wire, and thus this necklace may be a little on the wild side for some tastes. However, the design idea might be interests to all jewelry designs since I combined a number of wire jewelry component techniques to create the final necklace.

to make this Wire and Lampwork Bead Necklace, you will need the following tools and supplies:

Your choice of lampwork beads in bright colors
2 - 3 feet of colored wire to match beads
Wire jewelry jig
Wire cutters
Chain-nosed pliers
Round-nosed pliers
Nylon-nosed pliers
