Brass and Lampwork Bird on a Wire Necklace

Tammy Powley
The design for this necklace is in two parts: a center wire and bead section and a wire fabricated chain. Connect them together to complete the necklace.

You'll need:

1 Bird lampwork bead, about 40mm long
2 Swirl lampwork beads which match the bird bead, 15mm
4 light purple lampwork beads, 10mm
8 - 3mm gold-filled beads
5 1/2 feet of 21-gauge dead-soft red brass wire
1 - 3mm dowel (I used a wooden cooking skewer.)
Ruler
Wire cutters
Round-nosed pliers
2 Chain-nosed pliers
Jeweler's file

Lampwork beads were provided by Cindy Gimbrone.
