First, I want to explain why I came up with word "Serenity" for this piece. It comes from the movie, which I couldn't help but think of when I saw these ceramic components and read the narrative that Melanie included with them. They are part of her SteAm Stones collection, which she created with the idea of Steampunk science fiction in mind. While the movie Serenity didn't have any steam powered devices that I remember, it did have a kind of mixture of the old, new, and futuristic mixed together, so that's why I added "Serenity" to the title of this jewelry piece. I could imagine one of the characters wearing it.

Okay, enough talking, let's make the necklace!
