I love crystal cube beads, especially when they have an AB (aurora borealis) finish. The AB really picks up the light, so combined with sterling wire, chain, and daisy spacer beads, you have a sparkling necklace that won’t take you more than an hour or so to make.

You’ll need:

*Approximately 11 inches of sterling chain
2 feet of 22-gauge round sterling wire
3 to 4 inches of 20-gauge half-hard round sterling wire
8 – 4mm cube aurora borealis clear crystal beads
16 – 4mm sterling daisy spacer beads
Wire cutters
Jeweler’s file
Flat or bent-nosed pliers
Round-nosed pliers

*The chain I used in this necklace is medium weight, about 1/8 inch thick. I got mine from www.cgmfindings.com and it’s called “long and short” link chain because you’ll see that it is made up of one lone link and three short links that alternate. Just about any style chain will work, though, so use what you like or what is available if you can’t locate this exact chain design.

You can find lots of jewelry suppliers who sell chain listed under the Jewelry Making Findings section.
