By Tammy Powley, About.com

1 of 8

Introduction and Materials

This project uses a similar technique to my Squishy Wire Heart project, but I’ve added a lot more zing to the finished jewelry piece with the addition of lampwork, crystal, and glass beads, and a ribbon tie.

You’ll need:

1 foot of 20-gauge dead soft sterling wire
2 1-foot pieces of 3/8 inch wide red ribbon
*3 – 10mm white heart lampwork beads
*4 – 10mm clear/white round lampwork beads with heart designs
6 – 4mm AB crystal bicone beads
4 – 6mm red square crystal beads
12 – 4mm red glass beads
Round-nosed pliers
Flat-nosed pliers
Wire cutters

*Lampwork beads for this project came from D.D. Hess. The clear/white beads have tiny raised hearts on them.
