Bead and Wire Angel

Tammy Powley
Angels have never been more popular. The finished piece is only a few inches high, and though I made my first few practice angles out of copper wire, I think she’d look great in sterling silver wire. Even a combination of silver and gold-filled - such as silver for the body and gold for the wings - would give this ornament a holiday look. The hardest part of getting her together were the wings. So, I recommend working her up in copper first and getting your technique down before using more expensive wire.

You’ll need:

1 - 8mm crystal/glass bead for her head
18 gauge round wire (again - your choice)
wire cutters
files
round nosed pliers
flat nosed pliers
