Selecting Your Wire

To make one, you need to cut about 4 inches of wire. You can use silver, gold-filled, or this would also be fun with the new colored wire that is available. For the wire component pictured in this project, I used 24-gauge green florist wire that I got for about two dollars at a local craft store.

If the ends of the wire will scratch the wearer, file them flat, and use nylon-nosed pliers to straighten the wire if necessary.
