Starting Working from the Bottom

Note: I did things a little differently while making this necklace. Instead of working from the top down, I started at the bottom part of this necklace – the small tassel below the heart – and worked up.

1. Take one piece of beading wire, and use your fingers to tie an overhand knot about ½ inch away from the end. Then use wire cutters to trim off beading wire so there’s just a tiny amount left after the end of the knot.

2. Slide on one crystal bead, and push it down to the end of the knot.

3. Add on a crimp bead, slide it down up against the crystal, and use crimping pliers to close the crimp bead.

4. Repeat these steps for the other piece of beading wire.
