Learning how to close a crimp bead takes a little time and practice, but one of the most important elements of mastering this technique is using the right tool. Crimp beads come in 1, 2, and 3mm size, and you need to use the proper diameter of beading wire (using .010 with 1mm; .014 - .019 with 2mm; and .019 and up with 3mm) as well as the proper pair of crimping pliers depending on the size of the crimp bead to close the crimp bead correctly. In the past, that meant that you may need three different pliers for the three different sized crimp beads.

Now, thanks to Eurotool, there are crimping pliers to cover both 2mm and 3mm crimp beads. It is called the Dual EuroCrimper, and instead of the standard 2 notched pliers' nose, this pair of pliers has 3 notches in it to accommodate the two different sized crimp beads. The technique for closing crimp beads is still the same though. This means you no longer need one pair of crimping pliers for 2mm and a different pair for 3mm crimp beads.

These pliers also include very comfortable ergonomic handles with spring action, which means less stress on the hands. They retail for $16.95 and are available from vendors who sells Eurotool products.
