3. Now, you’re going to need to quickly twist the jump ring using the pliers so that one pair goes towards you and one away from you. This will create a figure 8 from your round jump ring. (If it's not flat enough, you can use a raw hide hammer to flatten it down some.)

Once you have some figure 8 rings made, you can start connecting your unsoldered, round jump rings around the figure 8 rings. Then solder the round jump rings.

Connect, solder, connect, solder, until you have the chain the length that you want. See what I mean about great soldering practice?

If you want, you could make a continuous chain so that it can just be pulled over your head. However, you can also make a simple hook and eye clasp to finish your chain.
