1st Way: Some people will use two round-nosed pliers. You are suppose to put the nose of the pliers inside the ring and expand the nose inside the ring. This will leave your other hand free to use the second pair of round-nose pliers to squish the middle of the ring and form an hour glass type shape.
2nd Way: I’m not as dexterous as those I mentioned in the above paragraph. So, I used a pair of chain-nosed pliers and flattened each ring a little which made them oval shaped. This enabled me to use my round-nosed pliers to squish them in the middle to form the hour glass shape.
