Once you learn the basic technique of beading around a cabochon, consider jazzing things up a little with similar seed beading techniques. This ruffle method is a good place to start because it is easy to add to a cab that already has a row or two of beads around it.

To bead a ruffle around a cab, you will need the following:

1 Cab with at least one row of seed beads around it
More seed beads
Matching thread (Nymo or Silamide)
Beading needle (Size 10 or 12 is a good choice.)
Scissors
