Bead Doll Head

8. Before continuing, to help make your doll as sturdy as possible, it’s a good idea to snake your needle and thread back through your beadwork, adding overhand knots here and there and keeping the tension on the thread fairly tight to pull knots up into the beadwork.

9. Then thread on one bead tip (aka clam shell) with the open part facing away from the doll, and also string on one seed bead.

10. Bring the needle up and through the bottom of the seed bead, and push the seed bead into the opening of the bead tip. Tie a few over hand knots, and use the corsage pin to push the knots down into the bead tip.

11. Trim off excess threads, add a dab of glue to the knot inside the bead tip, and use flat-nosed pliers to close the bead tip around the knot. Allow glue to dry.
