Sunny Colored Wire and Shell Pendant

I notice that many times when I collect shells on the beach, they already have holes in them as if they were prepared to become a bead or jewelry component in their next life. So, I got my wire out and started to play and came up with this pretty shell pendant. Since each shell is a natural piece of art, each pendant will be a little different too, but you can still use this basic technique to create your own shell pendant.

You'll need the following:

1 shell with a hole in it
*Your choice of wire
Wire cutters
Chain-nosed pliers
Round-nosed pliers
Nylon-nosed pliers
*I also made some of these using 22-gauge round sterling wire, and I really liked how they turned out, so just keep in mind that you can use any type of wire you prefer such as gold-filled, colored, and sterling silver.
