Purple Peace Pendant

Introduction and Materials

On one of my many bead shop jaunts, I picked up this interesting square jasper bead, or it could even been a green turquoise bead. But, I liked the color and the shape, so I bought it and have been hording it for probably about a year when a design finally popped into my head.

I like to mix shapes when it comes to incorporating beads and wire, so with this design I mixed the square bead, bicone crystals, and a teardrop-shaped briolette bead. Mixing shapes is one way to create interest in a piece.

You’ll need:

1 – 15mmx7mm square jasper bead
2 – 4mm bicone Tanzanite colored crystal beads
1 – 7mm amethyst briolette bead
8 to 10 inches of 24-gauge gold-filled round wire (dead-soft)
Round-nosed pliers
Wire cutters
Jeweler’s file
Flat-nosed pliers

For those who can’t wait, just click on the last step in the links below to see the finished pendant.
