Pearl Peace Necklace

Tammy Powley
A brass charm turns into a pendant with the help of a few rivets and some pretty burgundy-colored pearls. I purchased the brass "peace" charm a long time ago (I think on Etsy). It was part of an assortment normally used in scrapbooking. Check Etsy as well as your local craft store for similar charms. The pearls and glass beads came from my stash, and I'm pretty sure I picked them up at a rock and gem show some time ago. These are also fairly common, so check vendors who sell colored pearls and glass beads. Or maybe you have some of your own supplies you can bust out of the stash.

You will need the following tools and supplies:

42 - 6mm Burgundy-colored pearls
4 - 8x6mm Dark blue square glass beads
2 - 12mm Smoky-colored diamond shaped glass beads
13 - 4mm Copper daisy spacer beads
1 - 18mm Brass "Peace" charm
1 - 1/16 inch Brass rivet
Piercing and rivet tool
Black marker
Polishing cloth
6 inches of 24-gauge brass wire
6 inches of 22-gauge brass wire
2 - 2x2mm Copper crimp beads
22 inches of Cinnamon red .019 Econoflex beading wire
Wire cutters
Chain-nosed pliers
Round-nosed pliers
Nylon-nosed pliers
Jeweler's file
2 Bead Stoppers
Crimping pliers
