4. Dip your fingers into the water and then use our wet finger to help even out any rough areas on the clay star.
5. Take a chop stick to make a hole in what will be the top of the star, and then allow to dry before continuing. (It is very humid where I live, so I allowed my star to dry overnight. It may take less time depending on the climate you live in.)
6. If necessary, use a finger nail file (yes, this is the one time you can actually use this instead of a jewelers file!), and smooth out any rough areas around the star.
