From Heart Shape

1. Start with a small amount of clay (about the size of a large gum ball) wet your hands some with water, and start kneading the clay with your fingers to soften it up some.

2. Form the clay into a ball but rolling it between your palms, and then press the ball of clay down slightly between your palms to flatten it a little.

3. Now you are ready to start molding the clay into a heart shape. Begin by pinching one are of the clay to form the pointy part of the heart. Once you have that shaped fairly well, continue to the next step.

4. To shape the other side of the heart, use both your thumbs and press into the clay, pushing the clay out a little.

5. Take the handle of your small paint brush, and press a little between where your thumbs were at to form an indention into the clay. Continue to press and mold until you have the heart shaped you like.
