Molded Paper Clay Heart Bead

By , About.com Guide

1 of 5

Introduction & Materials

I refer to this heart bead paper clay as “molded” because I literally formed the bead using some of the best tools I have – my hands. Once I handled the clay for awhile, I found it pretty easy to mold. I explain in this project how I formed the heart shape of this bead, but obviously, there’s no one way to do this as long as you end up with a heart at the end.

You’ll need:
Pink and red acrylic paint
Paper clay
Corsage pin
Piece of foam
Small paint brush
Extra fine paint brush
Sculpey glaze
Bowl of water
Fine sandpaper
Paper towels
