This article lists some of the basic tools you'll need to get started. Once you have those, you can at least learn a few basics when it comes to making metal jewelry using fabrication techniques. As you experiment more, you can decide which additional tools fit your needs.
While I've included a few images in this article of some of the tools I discuss, I recommend visiting some of the vendors I have listed under Metal Fabrication Tool and Equipment Suppliers. Many of these vendors have full-color catalogs you can order and also on-line catalogs as well. Since you won't find too many of these tools as your local hardware store, you will often need to order them from companies that specialize in jewelry making equipment.
For your initial investment, plan to spend around $100 more or less.
