I Heart Animals Metal Clay Necklace

With some low-fire metal clay and a paw print rubber stamp, you can show your love for animals and jewelry making at the same time by making and then wearing this necklace. Make the charm and add it to cable choker as shown in these project instructions, or construct your own chain and attach your "I Heart Animals" charm.

You'll need the following supplies and materials:

10 grams of low-fire metal clay
Olive oil
6 playing cards
Misc. metal clay hand tools such as a roller and work surface
Hot pot or butane torch
Jar of water
Metal tongs
Jeweler's files
Burnishing brush
Polishing cloth
Anvil and ball peen hammer
1 paw print rubber stamp
1 - 5mm jump ring
2 Chain-nosed pliers
35mm Paper heart-shaped template
*1 - 18 inch red cable choker

*The red cable choker came from Rings & Things, item #52-030-18-05.
