4. Use a metal punch to punch a hole in each disc. (Note: You can also put a hole in the clay before firing and thus skip this step; however, I've noticed that for smaller pieces like these small holes can be difficult to get perfectly round, so I find it easier to do it after firing. But considering trying both and see which you prefer. This is a subjective issue.)
