You may have seen these chains before. Maybe you’ve even have made one yourself. If you have, I hope you still take a look, since you may find some helpful tips. One tip I got from a friend, who makes a lot of these, was to work with the wire in one large piece and not to cut it up into a bunch of smaller pieces. This way you end up with much less wasted wire. This is very obvious once explained, but I have to admit I wasn’t doing that before she told me.
Here are the supplies and equipment you'll need:
approx. 2.5 ft. 24 gauge gold-filled wire
10 - 6mm goldstone beads
Round-nosed pliers
Wire cutters
Chain-nosed pliers or *Bent-nosed pliers
I have a narrow pair of bent-nosed pliers that I really like for detailed work like this, but any kind of flat-nosed type pair will work.
