One thing that I would say distinguishes Jewelry Crafts from all the other magazines out there now is the fact that it usually has something for everyone: jewelry business information; artists spotlights; polymer clay project; precious metal clay; silversmithing; beading projects; wire jewelry projects; jewelry related news; product announcements; show schedules; and an on-line vender directory. For those of us who like to make jewelry using a variety of mediums, then I think this is a good resource.
Another plus, I have to say, is the price when compared to some magazine subscriptions that are usually at least $20, depending on where you sign up for a subscription. (I know there are some places you can get these discounted on the web.) The newsstand price for Jewelry Crafts is $3.99 an issue, and subscriptions go for about $12 a year. This is a bimonthly magazine, so thats, what, two bucks an issue? Its kind of hard not to think thats a deal.
