The length of the cord will depend on the type of cord used, thickness, and size of your beads. This is the amount of wax cord I used for my necklace. If you use hemp, you might want to add a little more cord to be on the safe side because it is normally a little thicker than linen cording.

You can also use any type of donut-shaped component you choose. You'll see that I also use a beautiful jasper donut for demonstration purposes in this project, and it looks excellent with the dark linen cording as well.
