The Lark's Head Knot is a staple of any macrame method. It is designed primarily to help secure a working cord to a stationary cord before a project begins. It is very similar to a mounting knot but the cords are positioned differently in the end result.

To get started, you'll need at least two piece of cording such as hemp, waxed linen, or rat tail.
