Raku lampwork beads are
made using a burning technique most often associated with pottery. The results are an earthy affect with bursts of color here and there throughout the glass beads. When I saw the turquoise in these lampwork beads, I knew I needed to use a stringing medium that would do them justice. Finally, I settled on turquoise colored waxed cotton cord. The final length of this necklace is about 36 inches; therefore, no clasp is needed since you can simply pull it on over your head.
You'll need the following supplies:
5 - 20mm Turquoise and cream colored Raku lampwork beads
4 - 10x7mm Bali-style sterling oval-shaped beads
4 - 24 inch strands of turquoise colored waxed cotton cord
