Think Pink Lampwork Slider Necklace

Introduction and Materials

I got the idea for this necklace design when I saw these unique lampwork sliders made by glass artist D.D. Hess for Breast Cancer Awareness. Rather than a regular round-shaped bead, these are more “U” shaped with the hole through the top, so they lend themselves to act more like a pendant than a regular lampwork bead.

For this project, you’ll need:

*1 lampwork slider
4 – 6mm Czech light pink crystal beads
4 – 4mm silver daisy spacer beads
2 – 2x2mm sterling crimp tube beads
**18 inches of .018 .925 sterling silver Beadalon beading wire
1 – 4mm sterling jump ring
1 – 4mm sterling spring ring clasp
Wire cutters
Crimping pliers

*D.D. Hess made this slider. You can contact her through her web site for more information.

**Check suppliers of Beadalon for this sterling silver beading wire.

For those who can’t wait, you can select the last step linked on this page to see the finished jewelry piece.
