Who doesn’t love briolette shaped beads? They are such an unusual cut that look great in gemstones, crystals, and even pearls. However, they can be challenging to work with sometimes. One answer to the briolette challenge is Beadshop.com’s class on CD entitled Bloomin’ Beads Pendants, taught by Tom McCabe. This CD project is considered advanced, and it is suggested that you already have some wire wrapping and beading experience. Another suggested prerequisite is Beadshop.com’s Tricks of the Trade CD, which covers crimping, designing techniques, and assembling multiple strand necklaces. If you already have some pretty good beading and wire work experience, then you should be just fine jumping into this class on CD. The focus is using briolette beads to create flower pendants. Then you can use these pendants on a multiple strand necklace, but really, you could do all kinds of things with these flower pendants once you get the technique down. I think they’d work particularly well as pins too.

This CD sells for $14.95 plus shipping charges. For more information about this class on CD, head over to Beadshop.com’s web site and go to the Shop Online section for a listing of all their CDs.
