What started off as an “off-topic” discussion on the Jewelry Making Forum, turned into an “on-topic” discussion about blogs and how you can use them to promote yourself and your jewelry business, so I thought this might be a good topic to expand upon. Not everyone makes a go of selling jewelry or related jewelry making items (such as kits, bead patterns, or supplies) on-line. The Internet is definitely a way to earn income, but it can be tricky. It’s similar to any off-line business: it takes time for customers to find you and for you to make a name for yourself. Success does not happen overnight. One way to get your name out there more on-line is through weblogs, also referred to as “blogs.”
