8. Use round nosed pliers to open the loop of your ear hooks. Do this by inserting the nose of the pliers through the loop, and pulling it open a little. You only need a small space opened.

9. Slip the ends of both chain pieces onto the open loop of the ear hook starting with the longer piece first.

10. Close the loop of the ear hooks around the pieces of chain. You can do this either with your round-nosed pliers and just pull the loop close, or you can use your chain-nosed pliers to push the loop closed.
