Cut the Chain Sections

Elizabeth Earrings Part of the Jane Austen Collection

Elizabeth Earrings

Tammy Powley
1. Start by using wire cutters to cut 2 pieces of chain. The longest should be about 1 inch long. The shorter piece should be about 3/4 of an inch long. I found it easiest to cut the longest piece first, and then count the number of links in the chain. Then I cut the shorter piece just a few links shy of the first. For the medium sized chain I used for these, the longer piece was 11 links long, and the shorter piece was 9 links long.
