Cabochons are wonderful jewelry components to include in your jewelry designs. You can
wire wrap them, glue bails or other findings onto them,
create metal bezel boxes for them, and in some cases drill holes in them, all methods for incorporating them into your jewelry designs. Most of us are familiar with
gemstone cabs; however, you can also make interesting cabs out of resin, and that's what I did to create these fun Halloween inspired resin cabochons.
To make your own, you'll need:
1 resin cab mold
Halloween stickers
Clear Casting Epoxy (I use a brand called EsayCast.)
Mold release
A few disposable plastic spoons
2 small disposable cups
1 small measuring scoop
Wax paper and paper towels
A clean well-ventilated work area
