1. Start by pulling off a piece of orange clay and kneading it with your fingers to soften it up. Sculpey is very soft, so this doesn’t take long.

2. Place the clay between 2 pieces of wax paper, roll it flat with a rolling pin to about a 1/4 inch thick. (I used clear wrap here so you could see the clay. However, the clear wrap isn’t really thick enough, and it’s easy to tear holes in it.)
