Operating the Saw

Cutting with a Glass Saw
Tammy Powley
The coolest part of a ring saw is that you can move in any direction, even diagonally. In fact, the blade cuts its best in a diagonal direction. When cutting through the glass and around your template, use very little pressure. If you press too hard, you could break the blade. It reminds me of using a sewing machine. Though the saw doesn’t pull in the glass, you really only need to gentle "feed" the glass into the blade as you would with material towards the foot of a sewing machine.
