Fused Glass Center Piece Beaded Necklace

Fused Glass Center Piece Beaded Necklace

Tammy Powely
While fused glass pendants, which you can make yourself or purchase, look great with just a simple chain, they can look amazing as the center piece of a long, dramatic necklace. This design combines a number of different jewelry techniques: beading, fusing, and wire work. You can make some of the components on this necklace yourself, or buy them already made and assemble them.

You’ll need your choice of the following:

Gemstones beads
Crystal beads
4-5 color of seed beads
1 fused glass pendant
1 sterling center piece
4 crimp beads
6-8 inches of 18-gauge sterling round wire
30 to 40 inches of beading wire
Crimping pliers
Round-nosed pliers
Jeweler's files
Wire cutters
