4. Release the binder clip in order to detach it from the end of the elastic beading cord, grasp both ends of your elastic cord, and tie a square knot, left cord over right and then right cord over left.

5. Dab a small dot of glue onto the knot you just made. (There are lots of glues that work for this. Normally, I use what I have around. For example, you can use hypo-cement, tacky glue, or even super glue. Super glue is not a favorite of mine because it dries so fast that I tend to get my fingers glued together when I am working with it, so hypo-cement and tacky glue tend to be my first choices in glues. Whatever glue you decide to use, just be sure to use a glue that is all-purpose and will dry clear.)

6. Use your scissors to trim off the excess elastic, but be careful that you do not cut too close to the knot. (Obviously, if you cut too close you can end up cutting the knot by accident.)

7. Hold the bead with one hand (this should end up being a jet crystal beads) and gently pull the elastic beading cord so that the knot you just made goes inside of the last jet bead you added in step 3. Take your time when doing this. It is not difficult, but you do not want to rush it.

8. Allow the glue to dry following the directions provided on the glue manufacturer's label. (I usually let mine dry 24 hours to be on the safe side.)

These bracelets make wonderful gifts for just about anyone. You could also use the birthstone color of the person you are giving the bracelet to as the color for the crystals. They are normally one size fit all type jewelry pieces too since you are using elastic as the stringing medium for the bracelet.
