Wire and Bead Butterfly Charm

Tammy Powley
Butterflies have always been popular icons of freedom and spring. With a little craft wire and a few beads, you can make this butterfly charm to add to hair accessories or jewelry. Dangle one from a chain as a pendant, or make two and add ear wires to make a pair of earrings. If you tried my spider or bunny project, you’ll find the techniques similar.

To make a wire and bead butterfly charm, you will need the following tools and supplies:

12 inches 24-gauge craft wire
2 - 6mm beads (Czech crystals work well)
1 size 6 Czech bead
60 seed beads
Chain-nosed pliers
Round-nosed pliers
Wire cutters

Note: You can use almost any type of beads for the body. I used what I had on hand.
