Glass Pillow Bead, Crystal, and Copper Chain Necklace

Tammy Powley
The inspiration for this necklace started with the lampwork pillow bead. It includes a swirl of beige in the center with turquoise and amethyst colors on either side. I also made some earrings to match, so this is a pretty easy and quick necklace and earring set to whip up.

I wanted this necklace to be on the long side, so I used 30 inches of chain; however, you can shorten or lengthen it by adjusting the chain length.

You will need the following tools and supplies:

*1 15.5x15mm Turquoise and Amethyst Square Pillow Bead
2 - 6mm Smoky topaz crystals
1 - 22-gauge 2-inch copper head pins
1 - 10x16mm Faceted teardrop apatite blue AB crystal bead
1 - 6mm Copper filigree bead cap
1 - 6mm Copper jump ring
30 inches of Copper link chain, 5mm wide
6 inches of 22-gauge Copper wire
2 1/2 inches of 16-gauge Copper wire
Anvil
Chasing hammer
Jeweler's file
Wire cutters
Chain-nosed pliers
Round-nosed pliers

*The pillow lampwork beads came from Artbeads.com, item #LMP-0148.
