Paper Heart Cell Charm

By Tammy Powley, About.com

1 of 8

Introduction & Materials

After making my Molded Paper Clay Heart Bead, I needed to find a way to incorporate the bead into some jewelry. The bead is pretty good size, about 1 1/4 inches in diameter, but it is also very light since it is made of paper clay. Finally, I decided it would be perfect to adorn my cell phone as yet another cell phone charm in my growing collection.

To continue with the heart theme of the bead, I got creative and figured out a way to make the end of my wire piece inserted through the bead into a heart shape as well.

You’ll need:
1 Molded Paper Clay Heart Bead
5 inches of 22-gauge soft gold-filled wire
2 Siam red Swarovski crystal beads
Wire cutters
Round-nosed pliers
Flat-nosed pliers
