Peacock Pearl and Crystal Star Necklace

Peacock Pearl and Crystal Star Necklace

Tammy Powley
This inspiration for this necklace came from the Celestial Crystal glass component from Fire Mountain Gems and Beads. To help play on the light that bounces off the facets in the star, I selected peacock pearls, which have a purple and gray color to them. You'll also notice a number of coiling affects created by the bail on the crystal, the texture on the larger sterling beads, and the wire clasp.

To make this necklace, you will need the following materials and tools:

1 - 30mm Celestial Crystal Star component
42 - 5mm Peacock-colored pearl beads
6 - 6mm Bicone violet opal Swarovski crystal beads
8 - 4mm Bicone violet opal Swarovski crystal beads
12 - 4mm Sterling daisy spacer beads
*4 - 8mm Bali-style sterling beads with swirl design
1 Wire Coil Clasp
2 - 2x2mm sterling crimp beads
About 20 inches of .010 Plum colored **Econoflex Beading Wire
6-inches of 21-gauge dead-soft sterling wire
Wire cutters
Chain-nosed pliers
Round-nosed pliers
Crimping pliers
Nylon-nosed pliers
1 Bead Stoppers

*These beads came from JS Beads.com
