Bead Mix Cocktail Necklace Strap

Tammy Powley
After making some fused glass pendants and then using rubber stamps to stamp a design on them, my next step to make them into finished jewelry pieces was to create a unique necklace strap to attach them to. Since the pendants were so different, I wanted an equally unique beaded cord to match. So, I created what I call a "Cocktail Mix of Beads." This technique is a great way to use up all those small amount of extra beads you may collect over time and don't have enough to make a complete piece with.

You’ll need:

Your choice of all kinds of beads (seed, bugle, lampwork, stone, Crystal, pearls, whatever)
Beading wire
2 Crimp beads
1 Jump ring
1 Spring ring clasp
Crimping pliers
Wire cutters
Chain-nosed pliers
Shallow bowl
