Maybe you can't afford opal beads. They do make them, but boy, are they pricey! But, you can afford Swarovski Rose Water Opal Crystals. I especially like the rondell shape (no. 5040) which has facets all over them, so they really catch the light.

While these beads would look great mixed with just about anything, I wanted to keep it simple to really show off the crystals. In fact, when I first saw these, they reminded me of an episode of Sex in the City, where Carrie is given a necklace by her boyfriend (played by Mikhail Baryshnikov). Her beads were diamonds, but they were this same rondell shape.
