Copper Dude Shell Necklace

Introduction and Materials

I don't hit the beach as much as I used to, but when I do, I like to collect shells for all those future jewelry and craft projects. Every once in a while, I actually manage to use a few out of my precious shell stash. The beautiful copper colors in this shell inspired me to make this necklace, which is also strung on copper colored beading wire and includes some puka beads from a vintage 70s necklace I used to wear.

You'll need:

24 in. of .019 copper colored Metallics Soft Flex beading wire
1 shell with hole at the top
4 puka beads
2 - 8mm oval shaped brown glass beads
1 hook and eye
2 - 3x3mm crimp tubes
Wire cutter or beading wire cutter
Mighty Crimper
stick pin or corsage pin
