1. Tie 3-4 over hand knots at the end of the beading wire, one on top of the other. Use chain-nosed pliers to pull knots tight.

2. Use wire cutters to trim the excess wire past the knots.

3. Insert the other end of the wire through the hole of the bead tip so the knots rest in the shell part. (For help with bead tips, see How to Use a Bead Tip.)

4. If you want, dab a little bit of glue (such as hyp-cement) on the knot.

5. Use chain-nosed pliers to close the shell over the knots.
