Introduction & Materials

I call this necklace More Is Better because you need a large assortment of beads, the more the better, to make this super long necklace. Also, it was inspired by my More is Better bracelet project. Those on the shy side, forget about making this design because it will make you standout.

Now, this is really more of a method project than a make it exactly as it looks type of project. I do know that the Venetian glass beads came from gems2behold.com, some of the crystals came from Fire Mountain, and some of the metal bead caps came from Beadshop.com, but other than that, the rest of the supplies I just collected over time from various bead shops and shows.

Along with a large assortment of beads, which I'll explain how to select them in the next step, you'll need:

few feet of gold-colored thin chain
2-3 feet of gold-filled dead-soft round wire
Wire cutters
Round-nosed pliers
Flat-nosed pliers
