Compress cover around crimp bead.

After you have the cover placed around the crimp and you are grasping it with the end of your crimping pliers, gently squeeze the handle of your pliers. You'll see the cover curl around your crimp bead and cover it up.

Ta da! You're done! It's that easy, and it looks great. Right now, crimp covers are only available in sterling silver, but gold-filled will soon follow. They are designed especially to use with size 2x2 tube-shaped crimp beads, which are the ones I usually recommend using. So, for those of you who have turned your nose up at crimp beads in the past, finally, you have a way to finish off your jewelry designs with style.
