Tin Cup Necklace

Materials Needed

Awhile back, tin cup necklaces replaced the Y-necklace in popularity. They are no longer new, but they are still popular. This style looks especially nice with pearls. You can use the traditional knotting technique to make the knots in a tin cup necklace. The only difference is that there is more space between the knots and beads instead of putting them close together. Most tin cup necklaces are 16-18 inches in length.

You’ll need the following:

cord (silk or nylon)
beading needle
choice of beads
2 bead tips
1 jump ring
1 spring ring clasp
corsage or stick pin
ruler
flat-nosed pliers
